Parawai Terrace,
Ponsonby

Parawai Terrace is a unique housing development located in the heart of Ponsonby that shows how we can make high-density living comfortable and affordable. Despite the small 586-square-meter site, we managed to build four architecturally designed units, each with three bedrooms spread over three levels of 180 square meters.

Our design team collaborated closely with other consultants to bring this vision to life, achieving an impressive feat: from the issue of the concept design to the submission of the resource consent in just 40 days.

Given the tricky topography and density challenges, Ginkgo's team meticulously detailed every aspect of the consent drawings. This included providing detailed callouts and 3D cutout sections, all to ensure that the contemporary design was faithfully realized within the confines of the space under the Auckland Unitary Plan.

The cladding features James Hardie flex sheet and oblique vertical weatherboards, combined with in-and-out brick designs on the ground floor in plaster finish, to give the building a sleek, contemporary look.
